Resolutions, 1837.

This series consists of resolutions that were decided upon by the board of the Bank of the State of Alabama, which consisted of the president of the State Bank and the State Bank's board of directors. The board had the authority to appoint a special committee to attend state legislative sessions and to report to the board. The resolutions pertain to each of the Branch Banks at Mobile, Montgomery, Huntsville, and Decatur and the State Bank at Tuscaloosa. Also included are resolutions describing such matters as the settlement of debts, for example through the extension of the time of indebtedness, the placement of land as collateral, state financial bonds, and the payment of the expenses of the banks.
